On the Mend

"May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. Selah May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. We will shout for joy when you are victorious and will lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests. Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed; he answers him from his holy heaven with the saving power of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. O LORD, save the king! Answer us when we call!" (Psalm 20)

Micah is slowly on the mend. This virus has been one great beast. But the Lord has once again answered us in our distress. He has, by His power of His right hand, healed Micah and strengthened him. Micah is still somewhat weak. The vomiting has ceased, though the diarrhea continues. We are able to ease him back into eating his normal diet. This morning Sarah said he was the most playful and like himself since last Saturday.

As always, we thank you for praying. I encourage you today to seek out those individuals around you who need your prayers; who need God's love. A young boy from our church, only 5 years old, just this last week went into cardiac arrest. He too is on the mend. In just a few short days from now, a man at our church is going to be undergoing another surgery dealing with cancer in his abdomen. Today at the very moment I write this, one of my dad's sisters is having surgery because of stomach cancer.

Oh the scores of individuals around us that we can pray for and show God's love. May our eyes be open, our hearts be sensitive and our spirit be willing. As a follower of Jesus Christ, I am His body...I am His hands and feet...I can be His touch and I can be His representative in all kinds of places and situations.
