Mission Testimony - Monday

One thing that was really cool to see was some of the people in the park where the homeless would sleep. One man, DAvid, was a Christian on fire for God. I reminded David that God knew that he would be in the situation that he currently was in. I also said that his current situation was part of the incredible plans that God had for him. he was really encouraged, but his story encouraged me so much more than I encouraged him. His story consisted of hardships that he had gone through during the course of his life but he had continued to stay on fire for God. It's sometimes crazy to see how I assumed that David wouldn't be a Christian, but I was proven wrong. I learned never to assumed someone isn't a Christian until I have evidence that my assumptions are correct. I guess I just assumed that most homeless are in the situations that they are in for drug/alcohol addictions. Today opened my eyes to my ignorance.
