It's a Beautiful Sight

Micah has been home for almost 5 days now. We were surprised last Tuesday morning when word came that he would be discharged from the hospital. Surprised as we were, we were thankful and excited most of all.

As I write this, Micah is doing well. I qualify my statement only because I have learned that the state of things can change so quickly, sometimes from moment to moment. Yet he is really exceeding what I had even anticipated. I guess I had in mind a very slow recovery; great set backs. However, Micah is crawling, pulling up and almost picking up where he left off. His eating is still not back to his "normal" place. We continue to pray for increased appetite and diversity of foods he eats. Nevertheless, he appears to feel very well.

The surgery also looks to have accomplished its goal. The official result will come in about 4 weeks when a test will be performed to capture images of the flow of bile through and out of the liver into the new passage. Even so, bile is apparently flowing as it should for Micah's bowel movements have normal color. I never realized that brown poop could look so good to a person's eyes.

Thank you for continuing to life Micah before the throne of God. God does so many amazing works, large and small. If you will, please continue to pray for these few things:
  1. Micah to be healthy, sickness and complication free
  2. Micah to continue to develop and grow
  3. Micah to increase in eating and in diverse foods
  4. Our family to have many, many, many days together at home
