Since the last time I wrote to you, we have seen some good progression with Micah. The doctors finally removed all IVs with the last one coming out this afternoon. For the first time since the surgery, Micah started clear liquids yesterday afternoon. Today, he started back eating as he did before all the surgery stuff. He seems to be doing very well with it all.
His bilirubin level is still hovering in the same ballpark as it was before the surgery (10.5; 1.2 is the max level it should be). No word as of yet about the liver biopsy the surgeon did while doing the procedure. The biopsy may give an indication as to how healthy his liver is, how much damage was already done and give a projected idea of its future vitality.
Doctors are talking about the possibility that we would leave on Wednesday. But there are still a couple things that still need to happen before that can happen. I can guarantee this: I'll be ready to have ALL MY FAMILY under the same roof!
I do appreciate you and your family continuing to pray for our family. Have a wonderful day. Live for the glory of God, sharing the love of Jesus Christ to someone, anyone, everyone in a real, tangible way. We have the light...for the light of the world lives in us...so are you shining?
