I pray that each of you are having a wonderful day. Most of all, I pray that you have grown today in your knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ and allowed our Lord and Savior to use your life for the maximum amount of His glory.
We didn't go home today. Micah is doing well, but the volume of fluid draining out of his surgical drain is greater than they would like it to be at this point. It should start tapering off. However, the surgeon thought it would be best to stay another day and potentially (we sure do hope) go home tomorrow. There is a great possibility that we will go home with the drain tube still in tact. Even so, it will be nice to be at home.
Thank you for your continued prayers. Micah is doing well, eating well (not quite to normal levels pre-surgery), and smiling and talking to us a lot today. Hopefully we will be leaving tomorrow. Whenever we do leave, we'll be scheduled for a follow-up two weeks later. Depending on bilirubin levels and other factors, these visits could be more often or not.
Again, thank you for your continual prayers. We continue to trust and wait.
