Two weeks ago Micah had a liver biopsy and endoscopy, primarily to check the health of the liver. His liver numbers have remained elevated. On Tuesday of this week, Micah's labs revealed his liver numbers are even more elevated than before his biopsy.
This is certainly a concern for us as the liver biopsy results came back inconclusive. The possibilities that top the list include an episode of rejection, an occluded bile duct (been there before and the numbers did the same thing), or something called autoimmune hepatitis. The Lord God already knows, even though doctors do not. Regardless, we ask for your prayers.
Tomorrow Micah will go for labs, an appointment with Dr. Butler at Duke, and an ultrasound to look at the liver, the bile ducts, etc. to see if anything might show up to explain the inflammation in the liver and the elevated liver numbers.
Please pray for God's healing and for God to use this, as He always does, for His glory and our good.
